Dr. Ghanshyam Singh

Dr. Ghanshyam Singh received PhD degree in Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, in 2000. Currently, he is working as a full Professor and Director with the Centre for Smart Information and Communication Systems, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Sciences, Auckland Park Kingsway Campus, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. Earlier, he was associated with Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute, Pilani, and Institute for Plasma Research, Gandhinagar, India, respectively, where he was Research Scientist. He had also worked as an Assistant Professor at Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Nirma University of Science and Technology, Ahmedabad, India. He was a Visiting Researcher at the Seoul National University, Seoul, South Korea. He has worked as a Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Wakanaghat, Solan, India. He is an author/co-author of more than 290 scientific papers of the refereed Journal and International Conferences. His research and teaching interests include RF/Microwave Engineering, Millimeter/THz Wave Antennas and its Applications in Communication and Imaging and Next Generation Communication Systems. He has more than 22 years of teaching and research experience in the area of Electromagnetic/Microwave Engineering and Wireless Communication. He has supervised 16 PhD and 42 MTech. theses. He is author of several books and book chapters published by Springer, Elsevier, IET, Wiley and CRC.

Dr. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban

Dr. Sanjeevikumar Padmanaban (Member’12–Senior Member’15, IEEE) received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy 2012. He is a Full Professor in Electrical Power Engineering at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Cybernetics, University of South-Eastern Norway, Norway. S. Padmanaban has authored over 750+ scientific papers and received the Best Paper cum Most Excellence Research Paper Award from IET-SEISCON’13, IET-CEAT’16, IEEE-EECSI’19, IEEE-CENCON’19, and five best paper awards from ETAEERE’16 sponsored Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering, Springer book. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, India, the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India, and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, U.K. He received a lifetime achievement award from Marquis Who’s Who – USA 2017 for contributing to power electronics and renewable energy research. He is listed among the world’s top 2 scientists (from 2019) by Stanford University USA. He is an Editor/Associate Editor/Editorial Board for refereed journals, in particular the IEEE SYSTEMS JOURNAL, IEEE Transaction on Industry Applications, IEEE ACCESS, IET Power Electronics, IET Electronics Letters, and Wiley-International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems, Subject Editorial Board Member—Energy Sources—Energies Journal, MDPI, and the Subject Editor for the IET Renewable Power Generation, IET Generation, Transmission and Distribution, and FACETS Journal (Canada).

Dr. Jagdish Chand Bansal

Dr. Jagdish Chand Bansal is an Associate Professor (Senior Grade) at South Asian University New Delhi and Visiting Faculty at Maths and Computer Science, Liverpool Hope University UK. Dr. Bansal obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from IIT Roorkee. Before joining SAU New Delhi he worked as an Assistant Professor at ABV- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior and BITS Pilani. His Primary area of interest is Swarm Intelligence and Nature Inspired Optimization Techniques. Recently, he proposed a fission-fusion social structure based optimization algorithm, Spider Monkey Optimization (SMO), which is being applied to various problems in the engineering domain. He has published more than 70 research papers in various international journals/conferences. He is the Section Editor (editor-in-chief) of the journal MethodsX published by Elsevier. He is the series editor of the book series Algorithms for Intelligent Systems (AIS), Studies in Autonomic, Data-driven and Industrial Computing (SADIC), and Innovations in Sustainable Technologies and Computing (ISTC) published by Springer. He is also the Associate Editor of Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EAAI) and ARRAY published by Elsevier. He is the general secretary of the Soft Computing Research Society (SCRS). He has also received Gold Medal at UG and PG levels.

Dr. Swagatam Das

Dr. Swagatam Das earned his B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, M.E. with a specialization in Control Engineering, and Ph.D.(Engineering) degrees from Jadavpur University, India, in the years 2003, 2005, and 2009, respectively. He is currently a professor at the Electronics and Communication Sciences Unit (ECSU) of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India. He is also serving as the Professor-in-Charge of the Computer and Communication Sciences Division (CCSD) of his Institute for the term 2024 – 26. He previously held the position of Professor and Deputy Director at the Institute for Advancing Intelligence (IAI), TCG CREST, Kolkata, India, from April 01, 2023, to March 31, 2024. His research interests encompass deep learning and non-convex optimization, and he has published over 400 research articles in peer-reviewed journals and international conferences. Dr. Das is the founding Co-Editor-in-Chief of Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, an international journal by Elsevier. He has served or is currently serving as an Associate Editor for several prominent journals, including the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, Pattern Recognition (Elsevier), Neurocomputing (Elsevier), Information Sciences (Elsevier), IEEE Trans. on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Systems, among others. He is a member of the editorial board of Information Fusion (Elsevier), Progress in Artificial Intelligence (Springer), Applied Soft Computing (Elsevier), Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (Elsevier), and so on. Dr. Das has received over 35,500 Google Scholar citations and an H-index of 90 to date. He has actively participated in the program committees and organizing committees of renowned international conferences such as NeurIPS, AAAI, AISTATS, ACM Multimedia, BMVC, IEEE WCCI, GECCO, and more. He currently serves as an ACM Distinguished Speaker. He received the 2012 Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) and the 2015 Thomson Reuters Research Excellence India Citation Award for being the highest-cited researcher in Engineering and Computer Science in India between 2010 and 2014.

Dr. Satish Kumar, has joined CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh in 10th May 1994. He is currently working as Sr. Principal Scientist and ‘Professor’ in Academy of Scientific and Industrial Research (AcSIR). He is also ‘Honorary Faculty’ at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur. He is in charge of ‘Centre of Excellence for Intelligent Sensors and Systems’ at CSIO Chandigarh. He has worked on various R&D projects as a project leader and has expertise in the area of AI based Seismic Signal Analytics, Intelligent systems for Automatic Target Detection System, Early Warning and Alert system etc. His main contributions are –Earthquake Warning System, Vehicle Detection and Recognition System, Intelligent Motion Detection System etc. His area of expertise are – Automatic Target Recognition, Early Warning System, Intelligent Systems, Edge Computing, Embedded System, Signal Processing, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Reconfigurable Systems etc. He has published 70 papers in various referred, International, National journals and conferences. He is having four copyrights and filed five patents. He is guiding five PhD students; two students have already completed PhD and guided about 30 MTech students for their thesis work. He has been conferred various prestigious awards such as- Raman Research Fellowship during 2009-2010 to do research work at Germany , First prize in CSIR Leadership Development Programme 2014, NRDC Meritorious Innovation Award 2015, Transformation Innovation Gold Medal Award 2017, Top 51 technologies recognition at India Initiative Innovation 2017, Best Technology Award under Smart City Theme at India, International Science Festival (IISc) 2017, Skoch-order of Merit Award 2017 for Earthquake Warning System, Skoch-order of Merit Award 2018 for Automatic Target Recognition System, Jury member of Smart India Hackathon (Hardware Edition) – 2018 and 2019, Jury member for HCL’s Worldwide initiative Technnovations Xchange – Artificial Intelligence 2018-19, ‘Certificate of Excellence’ in recognition of work in the field of Disaster Management by Institute of Disaster Management and Fire Sciences, Chandigarh during ‘Surakshhya-K-Sitarey’ programme on 25th May 2019, IETE Hari Ramji Toshniwal Award 2021. He is member of Critical Design Review committee at DRDO. He is also reviewer of IEEE Sensor Journal and Measurement Science and Technology (IOP Science). Member of DST Committee for project evaluation. He is also member of ‘Board of Studies’ at UIET, KU. He is also a Coordinator of CSIR-CSIO Chennai Centre. He is Life membership of Indian Society of System for Science and Engineering.

Dr. Harish Sharma is an Associate professor at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota in Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He has worked at Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University Kota, and Government Engineering College Jhalawar. Hereceived his B.Tech and M.Tech degree in Computer Engg. from Govt. Engineering College, Kota and Rajasthan Technical University, Kota in 2003 and 2009 respectively.He obtained his Ph.D. from ABV – Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior, India. He is secretary and one of the founder member of Soft Computing Research Society ofIndia. He is a life time member of Cryptology Research Society of India, ISI, Kolkata. Heis an Associate Editor of “International Journal of Swarm Intelligence (IJSI)” publishedby Inderscience. He has also edited special issues of the journals “Memetic Computing”and “Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Artificial Intelligence”. His primary area ofinterest is nature inspired optimization techniques. He has contributed in more than 60 papers published in various international journals and conferences.

Dr. Anupam Yadav

Dr. Anupam Yadav is currently associated with Department of Mathematics, Dr. BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar, India as an Assistant Professor. His research area includes numerical optimization, soft computing, and artificial intelligence, he has more than ten years of research experience in the areas of soft computing and optimization. Dr. Yadav has done a Ph.D. in soft computing from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and he had worked as a research professor at Korea University. He has published more than twenty-five research articles in journals of international repute, has published more than fifteen research articles in conference proceedings. Dr. Yadav has authored a textbook entitled “An introduction to neural network methods for differential equations. He has edited three books which are published by AISC, Springer Series. Dr. Yadav was the General Chair, Convener and member of the steering committee of several international conferences. He is a member of various research societies.
